Silent Music is leading international sound installation artist Robin Minards first exhibition in Australia. Silent Music will create a place of beauty, reflection and contemplation by merging sound, art and architecture. In an organic array, hundreds of tiny speakers cover Art Space engulfing the audience in waves of soft sounds.
Typifying the move of sound away from the concert hall, Canadian born German, Minard is a world leader in sound installation art. His work has been shown at major festivals, galleries and public space worldwide. He has lectured on the subject throughout Germany and has held numerous artist-in-resident positions in Europe and America. |

Featuring works by Steve Reich, Alvin Lucier, Jon Drummond, Christian Haines, Luke Harrald and a rare live performance of Conlon Nancarrow’s Player Piano Studies. Presenting a snapshot of Australian innovators, Street Cinema brings digital art to Adelaide’s West End. The program, created especially for the Adelaide Bank Festival of Arts 2006 will project gems of digital abstraction directly into Hindley Street for ten nights. Leading Australian new media artists Luke Harrald, Warren Burt, Alex Carpenter, Gordon Monro, James Geurts, Jon Drummond, Paul Brown, Sonia Wilkie, Michael Yuen and Somaya Langley will be showcased in a different program each night. |
